To accomplish this task, the first thing you will do is RESEARCH. You will need to include your references on your web page, so remember to keep track of the web sites you are getting your information from! I have provided you with some web sites to get you started on your journey in the resource section. Remember all information included must be written in your own words. The following information must be included on your web page:
General facts about your animal
Different species of your animal
History of your animal
Habitats for your animal
Which parts of the world your animal is most likely to be found
After the research is done, then it is time to begin creating the HTML code. Don’t forget to make use of the HTML reference sites that are available in the reference section of this project. The following guidelines must be followed when you create your animal webpage. Hint: place a checkmark beside each item as it’s completed to help keep track of which items you have left.
Create a new html page and save it as the name of your animal.htm in your webmastering folder.
Remember all information should be written in your own words. However, if you need to copy one sentence, be sure you put the sentence in quotation marks “” and put a link back to the page you got it from in parentheses () right after the quote.
You need to have at least 2 external links on your page.
You need to include an e-mail link to your e-mail address at the bottom of your page. Your e-mail link should look like this: Webmaster: Your Full Name
You need to change the background color of your page.
You need to include a table on your page.
You need to place an image in the background of at least 1 cell of your table. In doing so, however, your information should still be legible.
You need to change the color of your text in at least 1 place on your page.
You need to place a heading at the top of your page.
You need to include 3 images on your page. Watch your file size!
Align one image to the right.
Make at least 1 image a link.
You need to use the bold, italic, and underline tags somewhere on your page.
You need to make at least 1 list (ordered, unordered, or definition) for your web page.
And finally, you need to provide links back to your resources at the bottom of your page.
